Smart Shorts
Paste a YouTube link or upload a recording. Splicora reads the whole video, finds the moments people will actually watch, cuts them vertical, captions them and scores each clip by viral potential — so you post the strongest ones first.

What you get
The AI reads the transcript and the pacing of the video to pick hooks, punchlines, strong claims and complete thoughts — clips that make sense on their own.
Every clip comes out 9:16 with animated captions and the speaker kept in frame, so it drops straight into TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
Each clip is rated so you know which one to publish first and which to leave in the library for a slow week.
Review the suggested moments and pick the ones you like, or let Auto-Generate cut a batch of shorts without you touching a thing.
How it works
Any YouTube URL, or an MP4, MOV or WebM from your computer. Podcasts, webinars, interviews and livestream replays all work.
Splicora transcribes the video, scores every passage for hook strength and completeness, and lists the strongest candidates with a start and end time.
Adjust a start point, swap a caption style, add B-roll — or accept the batch as it is.
Download the MP4s, or schedule them to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and five other platforms from the same screen.
A long video is full of short videos. A 45-minute podcast has a dozen self-contained stories, a webinar has three or four "wait, really?" moments, and a product walkthrough has a handful of tips that would each make a good 30-second post. The problem was never a shortage of material — it was the two hours of scrubbing through a timeline to find it.
An AI clip generator does that scrubbing for you. Splicora transcribes the recording, then reads the transcript the way an editor would: where does a thought begin and end, where is the line that makes you lean in, where does the speaker land a point? It turns those passages into a ranked list of candidate clips, cuts each one to a vertical frame, and lays captions over the top.
The result is not "the video chopped into equal 60-second pieces". It is a set of clips that each open on a hook, say one complete thing, and stop.
Every candidate is scored on a handful of signals, and the score is shown next to the clip so the ranking is never a black box:
You can override any of it. Drag the start and end, swap the caption preset, or throw a clip away. The score is a recommendation, not a rule.
TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts share a format — vertical, sound-on, captioned — and Splicora produces that format by default. AI Reframe keeps the speaker centred when a 16:9 recording is cropped to 9:16, animated captions are burned in with word-level timing, and a hook line can be added over the first two seconds.
If you want each clip tuned further — a different caption style for Instagram, a different first frame for YouTube — open it in the built-in video editor. Nothing leaves the browser.
The clip generator is the front door, not the whole house. The same upload can become a blog article, a newsletter, show notes, an X thread and a LinkedIn post through the Write stage, get thumbnails, quote cards and carousels through Visuals, go out on a schedule through the social media scheduler, and report its views, likes, comments and shares back into the project. One recording, every platform, from one project.
FAQ
Talking-head content works best: podcasts, interviews, webinars, coaching calls, product walkthroughs and livestream replays. Anything with clear speech gives the AI the most to work with. Music videos and silent footage produce weaker clips because there is no transcript to read.
There is no fixed cap in minutes; the practical limit is your plan's storage and credits. Hour-long podcasts and multi-hour livestream replays are processed routinely.
